Created in 1990 by Paul Krings, the New Course is set further inland, but has a similar parkland feel about it - with gently undulating fairways and large, fast greens. It would be fair to say that, in general, hazards are obvious but still manage to trap the unwary. Care is needed off the tees and the wild hitter will soon encounter difficulties.

The extension of the course with the holes 19-27 is moderately flat and can be played by foot though there are two holes located on the side of the mountain and from which we can enjoy some spectacular views over the valley of Guadalhorce and the Mediterranean.

Mijas Golf Club - Los Olivos

Designed by American Robert Trent Jones, Los Olivos is the antithesis of its “brother”, Los Lagos. The Los Olivos course is younger (1984) and shorter, there’s less water and the fairways are tighter. The terrain is more inclined and features more trees. The greens are smaller and many are in an elevated position. This course is one you should definitely play.

This is the oldest course on the Costa Del Sol coast. There are 27 holes, the new 9 holes are called the Links playing from 10th hole to 27th hole. The Old course is part links and part parkland.
